We are returning to TCF Center (formerly named Cobo Center) this year! It’s famously the biggest convention space in the state of Michigan, home to other huge events like the Detroit Auto Show. Here’s why you’ll enjoy our venue this year:

* 24/7 overnight venue on Friday and Saturday of the event. Stay up all night to hang out with other Smashers.

DoubleTree Hilton: $30/day valet, can park overnight

Free Parking Options

Greektown Casino garage: self-parking in the Greektown Casino garage is available for free to visitors from 10am-6am. However, on days of special events (ex: Detroit Lions football game, concert at Ford Field, etc.) you may be subject to a parking fee of $20+ depending upon the event taking place. Please keep this in mind and park at your own risk of paying the event-dependent fee. Our venue (Cobo Center) is 1.1 miles away, so you can either walk or use public transit via Detroit People Mover for just a couple bucks.

MGM Grand garage: self-parking in the MGM Grand garage is available for free to visitors during all hours including overnight. However, this garage is known to be difficult to enter and exit at peak traffic times, so please keep that in mind while planning your visit. Our venue (Cobo Center) is 0.9 miles away, and your best option is to walk since the Detroit People Mover route doesn’t go too close to the MGM Grand.

IF YOU ARE FLYING IN:

The airport to fly into is Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) which is ~20 miles away from the venue. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation from the airport to the venue:

Ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are legal and available in Michigan. Based on our experience, you can expect to pay somewhere between $25-30 for the trip between Detroit Metro Airport and the downtown Detroit hotels.

Skoot is also an option, offering an hourly shuttle service to and from Detroit Metro Airport and the downtown Detroit hotels. The cost is $23 per person each way. Schedule a reservation through their website: https://www.rideskoot.com/
