IF YOU ARE FLYING IN:

Airport: Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)

DTW is about 20 miles from the event venue.

There are two main terminals at DTW – the McNamara Terminal and the North Terminal. The McNamara Terminal serves Air France, Delta Airlines and AeroMexico. North Terminal serves all other airlines. Pickup/dropoff depends on what terminal you are at.

Ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are legal and available in Michigan. In the past, you could expect to pay somewhere between $25-35 for the trip between Detroit Metro Airport and the downtown Detroit hotels. Join our discord if you want to look for people to split a ride with!

As of October 2022, there is also a $2 bus that goes between DTW and downtown Detroit every 30 minutes between 5am and 10:30pm. It’s the 261 or “Fast Michigan” SMART bus. We just learned of this option recently, so please research further on your own.

Skoot is also an option, offering an hourly shuttle service to and from Detroit Metro Airport and the downtown Detroit hotels. The cost as of last time was $23 per person each way. Schedule a reservation through their website.

Free Parking Options

MGM Grand garage (our recommended option): self-parking in the MGM Grand garage is free to visitors during all hours including overnight throughout the weekend, since the attached casino is a 24/7 venue. However, this garage is known to be difficult to enter and exit at peak traffic times, so please keep that in mind while planning your visit. Our venue (Huntington Place) is 0.9 miles away, and your best option is to walk since the Detroit People Mover route doesn’t go too close to the MGM Grand.

Greektown Casino garage: self-parking in the Greektown Casino garage is free to visitors from 10am-6am. However, on days of special events (ex: Detroit Lions football game, concert at Ford Field, etc.) you may be subject to a parking fee of $20+ depending upon the event taking place. Please keep this in mind and park at your own risk of paying the event-dependent fee. Our venue (Huntington Place) is 1.1 miles away, so you can either walk or use public transit via Detroit People Mover for just a couple bucks.
