All tournament obligations begin at 10am EST on Friday, October 5th. That means if you are a competitor, be prepared to play at 10am EST on Friday, October 5th, although you may be able to arrive later depending on your eventual pool assignments. If you are a spectator, you may drop in at any time during event hours throughout the weekend.

There is no age restriction at all. Historically we have seen players and spectators of all ages. Everyone is welcome to register, as well as any family members who wish to accompany them!

Yes, spectators must register online before the event. Spectator registration is hosted at the same place as competitor registration. Note that you must create a smashgg account first; feel free to just put down your first and last name when it asks for a Gamertag!

Spectators have the option of buying a one-day pass or a three-day pass. After buying a pass, just show up anytime during event hours and stop by at the check-in desk!

At the beginning of the tournament, players are divided into pools of several players each. The size of the pool depends on the overall number of entries. Each pool progresses until there are only a few players left; these players advance to the next phase of the tournament. Exact format to be announced in the coming weeks.

Only sponsors and vendors are allowed to sell merchandise at the venue. Our registration page will have a vendor application posted by August.

Your letter represents starting time, and number represents location. For example, Pool A12 would take place during Wave A on the schedule at Station 12 in the venue. Please make sure to allow plenty of buffer time to check-in and find your pool at the venue. You must check-in before your first tournament obligation if competing.

The easiest way to contribute is to help out as a volunteer during The Big House event. During event registration there’s a checkbox if you’re interested in volunteering, and from that we will send out a volunteer application in late summer!

Spectators can participate in anything at the venue not related to the main tournament competition! This includes arcade games, demos, side events, vendor interaction, Smash friendlies, and mainstage viewing.

Go to your event dashboard on smashgg to make a change to your entry. You may add more events to your entry until the registration deadline.
